April Tour in Victoria Falls and Hwange National Park

Last year in this season (April 2019), I met Noel from Mexico ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฝ. Noel has planned this trip for a long time to visit Zimbabwe ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ผ, Victoria Falls. On the left (Mr Leo) and right (Noel) He secured his booking in February for April trip. He wanted to spend his Easter holiday in a different place with different people and to learn their cultures during his stay in VF. On his day of arrival, we went to airport with Sam to wait for him. Though we know it took long to process your visa. We stood there for an hour, few minutes later saw him coming with a bag and smiling coming towards me. I was holding a placard with his name. From airport we went home straight left the bags, now going to town to explore. Before we start the tour we grabbed water for our two hours tour. We went to the Falls and bridge. Took few pictures, memorable ones. Mama Africa was now calling because we were now hungry ๐Ÿ˜‹. Everyone knows African dishes are delicious ๐Ÿคค, ordered two plates and drinks ( Zambezi beer and Coke). We chatted almost an hour, sharing our cultures. That was all for the first day. The following day our tour was in Hwange National Park so we had to book that and prepare. We contacted the guy from there being assisted with Jamez Cabs (Mr A . Sibanda)one of the well known drivers in Victoria Falls. Jamez Cab came around 0530am for our next tour in Hwange l, it was a 2hrs drive to Cross Dete. Game drive started at 0900am till 1730pm. Our day trip ended in VF, thus were we parted ways and that was the day I last saw Noel, it’s been 1 year now. Noel wrote a review and thanked me for helping him with a successful trip we had and we still communicate and share ideas ๐Ÿ’ก.

Livingstone can inspire the future of the 5th Industrial Revolution : NOAH

I am delighted to meet Kevin LOGNONE (PhD), Consultant and Knowledge Partner of different startups companies all over the world. After travelling around 50 countries, he shared with me some insights how Africa could become an active player into the next 5th Industrial Revolution : NOAH ! New Opportunities in Augmented Humanity (N.O.A.H).

After the Corona "Deluge" (Great Flood myth) affecting not only Chinese manufacturing chains but all over the world, we should think about NOAH :  New Opportunities in Augmented Humanity. Indeed,
Research and innovation no longer need concrete, new walls, new sites, but wise men, minded people, explorers. At least, human capital. The great period of construction of research centers or ivory towers is over. In many disruptive and human ways, Africa is a land of creativity and innovation. So many explorers in the past can still inspire us.

David Livingstone's fame as an Scotish explorer and his obsession with learning the sources of the Nile River was founded on the belief that if he could solve that age-old mystery, his fame would give him the influence to end the East African Arab-Swahili slave trade. "The Nile sources," he told a friend, "are valuable only as a means of opening my mouth with power among men. It is this power [with] which I hope to remedy an immense evil." His subsequent exploration of the central African watershed was the culmination of the classic period of European geographical discovery and colonial penetration of Africa. At the same time, his missionary travels, "disappearance", and eventual death in Africaand subsequent glorification as a posthumous national hero in 1874‍led to the founding of several major central African initiatives carried forward in the era of the European "Scramble for Africa"

From Livingstone to Zanzibar, Africa can attract a lot of overseas explorers able to deliver discerning opportunities in terms of human capital.

Good Time In a Bad Time

Some good news!!
The floodwaters of the Zambezi have hit Victoria Falls ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ผand Kariba - the river has risen quickly and the lake is starting to fill.  This is the biggest flood ๐ŸŒŠsince 1977/78, which is the biggest flood since records started in the sixties.  However, there is now a second wave coming through Chavuma (on the Angola ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ด/Zambia ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฒborder) which looks as big as the first wave. The difference is the Barotse flood plain is now full and this wave will sweep over it. All the water will be channelled through to the Falls and into Kariba. I predict this will be the biggest flood since the Kariba Dam wall floods of 1958. Kariba will probably fill.
The sad news is with this disastrous Covid-19, there will only be a few locals to witness what will be one of the greatest shows put on by the Zambezi!!

Despite all that, were there is a good thing, you also find a bd thing. Everyone would have loved to see all that, what’s happening in the Mighty Zambezi!!!
