Livingstone can inspire the future of the 5th Industrial Revolution : NOAH

I am delighted to meet Kevin LOGNONE (PhD), Consultant and Knowledge Partner of different startups companies all over the world. After travelling around 50 countries, he shared with me some insights how Africa could become an active player into the next 5th Industrial Revolution : NOAH ! New Opportunities in Augmented Humanity (N.O.A.H). 

After the Corona "Deluge" (Great Flood myth) affecting not only Chinese manufacturing chains but all over the world, we should think about NOAH :  New Opportunities in Augmented Humanity. Indeed,

Research and innovation no longer need concrete, new walls, new sites, but wise men, minded people, explorers. At least, human capital. The great period of construction of research centers or ivory towers is over. In many disruptive and human ways, Africa is a land of creativity and innovation. So many explorers in the past can still inspire us. 

David Livingstone's fame as an Scotish explorer and his obsession with learning the sources of the Nile River was founded on the belief that if he could solve that age-old mystery, his fame would give him the influence to end the East African Arab-Swahili slave trade. "The Nile sources," he told a friend, "are valuable only as a means of opening my mouth with power among men. It is this power [with] which I hope to remedy an immense evil." His subsequent exploration of the central African watershed was the culmination of the classic period of European geographical discovery and colonial penetration of Africa. At the same time, his missionary travels, "disappearance", and eventual death in Africa‍—‌and subsequent glorification as a posthumous national hero in 1874‍—‌led to the founding of several major central African initiatives carried forward in the era of the European "Scramble for Africa"

From Livingstone to Zanzibar, Africa can attract a lot of overseas explorers able to deliver discerning opportunities in terms of human capital.
